Texas Sergeant Killed in Funeral Escort Accident

Angleton, Texas, Police Chief Lupe Valdez issued a statement that said Sgt. J.D. White was struck by a vehicle.

Angleton Police Chief Lupe Valdez issued a Facebook statement that said Sgt. J.D. White was struck by a vehicle.

He was transported from the accident scene by LifeFlight but died at the hospital.

White served 19 years with the Angleton PD.

“This is a tremendous loss for our department and for the Angleton community,” Chief Valdez said.
