Trash and Recycling Program

TRASH (REFUSE) PROGRAM
- The refuse (trash) & recycling rate each month for residents is $14.95 (96 gallon Capacity). The cart may also be used for grass clippings.
- Recycled items will be collected in your recycling bin.
- Extra polycarts are available for $7.48 each per month. Do not put hazardous liquids or materials such as oil, oil filters, pool chemicals, fertilizer, liquid paint, insecticides, etc. in the cart.
- Ordinance 2006-180 for refuse (trash) collection states that no bags, boxes or other trash left outside the cart will be collected.
- Place your household garbage in the Polycart. Wheel it out to your normal weekly, trash pickup location at the front curb or in the alley no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the evening before collection day or no later than 6:00 a.m. the morning of collection. Position the handle away from the alley or street. Make sure the lid is closed and nothing is on top of the cart. Keep the Polycart away from gas meters and at least two (2) feet from fences to avoid damage by the collection truck’s pickup arm. Leave about two (2) feet between the Polycart and your recycle bin. Take the Polycart in no later than the day after collection. Trash bags are not required for use in the Polycart. But we suggest you use them to avoid wind-blown trash when the polycarts are emptied into the collection trucks. If the cart develops an odor, tilt it over and rinse it with a garden hose. Baking soda will also help eliminate odors. Store the cart in your garage or near your house. Under no circumstances are carts to be stored or left at collection place (alley or street).
- If the Polycart is ever damaged Contact IESI. For further questions, contact IESI - (972) 475-3600, 3817 Main Street
