Accident Investigation
|
Accident Investigators are responsible for the investigation of all motor vehicle accidents in which there are serious injuries or death occurs. They are also charged with the investigation of all accidents involving police department personnel ("fleet accidents"). In order to be designated as an accident investigator, officers must first obtain specialized training by completing Intermediate and Advanced Accident Investigation Schools. Their training is ongoing as they are sent to specialized accident schools to further their investigative skills.
