Block Party Application Instructions

Block parties are an excellent way for community members to meet others in their neighboorhood. To facilitate obtaining required permits for your block party the necessary documents are available for download below.
If you prefer, all the necessary documents plus personal assistance with providing the required area map are available in the Police Department Records Section during reqular business hours.
You MUST download,read, and understand the Special Event Ordinance in order to correctly complete the application. The maping requirements are detailed and we strongly recommend contacting the Records Section for assistance well in advance of your event.
Please contact the Records Section personnel for all required information. Please remember that your application for a Block Party Permit must be completed and approved by several city departments at least 10 working days prior to your event date. Be sure to allow adiquate time for this process. The Records Personnel can check your application for completeness before it is submitted.
