  • Festival Finder: Music Festivals of North America
    Festival Find provides details for more than 2,500 music festivals in North America. Choose from the following categories: Alternative, Bluegrass, Blues, Cajun & Zydeco, Classical, Country, Eclectic, Folk, Jazz, Reggae & World music, Rock, and Miscellaneous. Also available is a link to information and savings for travel plans and hotel reservations through the Festival Finder Travel Center.
  • Metacritic
    Use MetaCritic.com to find reviews for music films, videos and DVDs, and games. MetaCritic.com combines individual review scores for an overall grade for each item.
  • Patriotic Song Lyrics
    ScoutSongs.com provides the lyrics to the following patriotic songs: America; America the Beautiful; God Bless America; God Bless The U.S.A.; I Am Thankful To Be An American; I Love You So; The Star-Spangled Banner; Taps; Yankee Doodle; You're a Grand Old Flag. Lyrics for scout songs, action songs, and round songs are also included.

  • The Blue Highway
    The Blue Highway web site offers tributes to blues artists, blues radio listings by state and city, live and archived radio broadcasts, a searchable discussion board, a blues chat room, and a collection of links to more blues related web sites.  
  • Blues Lyrics Online
    Blues Lyrics Online includes lyrics from blues songs organized into two indexes, Blues Lyrics by Artist (alphabetically arranged by artist’s last name) and Blues Lyrics by Title. A links page provides access to additional resources for blues and blues lyrics.
  • Chicago Blues Archives (Chicago Public Library)
    The Chicago Blues Archives provides information about the collection, its exhibits, and programs, as well as a bibliography of books about the blues and blues musicians compiled by the librarians from the Chicago Public Library Music Information Center.
  • How the Blues Affected Race Relations in the U.S.
    This web site offers a study of the blues during the late 19th and 20th centuries, and its positive impact on race relations in the United States. A bibliography of works consulted is included, as is a request form for permission and information about citing this material for school assignments.

  • All Classical Guide
    Use the advanced search of the All Music Guide to search for composers/performers, work titles, or album titles, or text in their classical database.
  • Classical CD Review
    Use Classical CD review to find reviews of CDs and special features on recordings and performers. The composer/artist index is organized alphabetically but can also be searched.
  • Classical Composers Database
    Classical-Composers.org offers a searchable database with entries for more than 2,000 classical composers. Browse entries by the first letter of the composer’s last name or search for names, places, and dates, or for keywords within the full-text.
  • Classical Music Dictionary
    Access the Karadar Classical Music web site to find biographies of composers organized by nationality, libretto’s of famous operas, a photo gallery dedicated to composers, classical music Mp3 and midi archives, catalogues of classical compositions, and more.
  • Classical Music Navigator
    The Classical Music Navigator offers a basic library of notable works arranged by genre, alphabetical and geographical lists of composers, an alphabetical index of forms and style of music, and a limited music glossary.
  • The Classical Music Pages
    The Classical Music Pages includes information about the history of classical music and composer biographies. Locate information by browsing by musical epoch, musical form, composer’s name, or musical instruments.
  • Classical Net
    Classical Net offers a basic repertoire list with representative works from all periods and styles of the last millennium in Western art music, a CD buying guide, recommended classical CDs, and information about classical composers. This site provides a search engine and a composer index for easy access to all its resource collections.
  • Essentials of Music
    The Essentials of Music was built around and includes excerpts from the Essential Classics series. It includes three main collections: Eras (overviews the history of music from the Middle Ages to the Twentieth Century), Composers (provides biographies of nearly 70 artists), and the glossary (offers definitions for 200 musical terms).
  • The Opera Critic
    Log on to the Opera Critic to find opera news, reviews, articles, quizzes, and festival information. Registration (no cost) is required to use most of the resources provided on this site.
