Supporting the Library

Thank you for your interest in making a donation or contribution to the Rowlett Public Library.  Monetary contributions are always appreciated, as are donations.  Donations of materials are accepted with the understanding that the gift policy recommended by the Rowlett Public Library Advisory Board and adopted by the City Council will be followed.  The library acknowledges gifts for tax purposes, but cannot be responsible for assessing the monetary value of gifts.

An account specifically for library contributions was established by the City of Rowlett in 1994.  Contributions made to this fund, called Library Equipment Acquisitions Fund (LEAF), can only be used for the Rowlett Public Library.  You may make a contribution to this fund to be used where needed, or if you prefer, you may choose specific kinds of purchases to be made with your contribution.  If you have a specific type of book (for example, gardening) that you would like to be purchased with your contribution, then simply indicate that with your contribution.  The library has a need for funds to support programs and equipment purchases.  These include:
  • Summer Reading Program
  • Technology equipment for the library, such as computers and printers.

In addition, the library has an ongoing need for materials such as books, audio cassettes, DVDs, and music CDs.  Thank you for your support of the library.  All contributions, large or small, are appreciated.
