FA FS Submittal Permit





All New Installation(s) and any Modification(s) to any existing Fire Sprinkler System requires a permit.  The Permit Fee is $100.00, paid to the City of Rowlett.

Permits may be picked up from the City of Rowlett Development Services Building, located at 3901 Main Street, Rowlett, Texas.

No work is to be performed without Fire Sprinkler Plans being submitted and "APPROVED" from the Fire Marshal's Office.

 

o       Title block including the following:
· Permit Number
· Project Name
· Project Address
· Contractor Name, Address and License Number
·  Drawn By
·  Scale    
·  Date

o       The following notes shall be included on all drawings:
· Authority Having Jurisdiction
· Designed in-accordance-with code and code date
· All wet piping and heads shall be kept above 40 Degrees F

o  Plans drawn to an indicated scale
RME or PE WET signature and stamp on each sheet
o  Occupancy classification of each area or room
Site plan showing water supply and applicable hydraulic references
Sprinkler schedule with make, type, model, orifice size, and temperature rating
Area of coverage provided by each head
o  Total area protected by floor and system
o  Capacity of dry pipe system or anti-freeze systems
o   Pipe and fittings type and schedule
o   Hanger schedule
o   Location of alarm bells
o   Size and location of hose valves
o   Hydraulic data symbols and reference points
o   Graphical representation of scale
o   Design area information
o   Relative elevations and junction points
o   Underground spigot detail
o   Embedment detail
o   Location of Inspector's Test Valve's

Submittal Packet Requirements:

o   Brief scope of work description
o   Hydraulic calculations
o   Hardware specifications and cut sheets 
o   Copy of RME license      o   Back Flow specifications and cut sheets

 Note: NFPA 13 Chapter 6 details specific requirements for working plans. Provide all applicable details and/or notes.
